Please help me fix my iphone 5c

so i bought a used/ broken iphone 5c from my friend he said that the last time he had it he dropped it and it turn off and now it does not turn on or even charge. so i bought it off him and he said it will just need a screen replacement which i did, i bought a new screen off amazon, fitted it and now i pluged it in and tried to power it on still nothing a black screen not even a vibrate when charging/ so i was wondering what should i replace next the battery or something. i can post pictures if needed

and also the bottom of the phone is quite damaged i have taken a photo of it / maybe a lightning port replacement is needed

It could be anything. Perhaps some sort of connection came lose. You will have to open the phone up and investigate.

yes that is what i did to fix the screen but before i replaced the screen it did not power on or even charge dunno what to do

Unfortunately when it comes to drops the damage caused can be anything. It probably wasn't a good idea to buy it. Considering you get no signs of life at all from the phone after replacing the screen it wouldn't surprise me if the logic board was broken. How much was the replacement screen and what storage capacity is the phone?

well the screen was £15.67 off amazon and the phone capacity is 8gb or 16 i dont know i have ordered a new lightning port and i will fit that and see if that makes a diffence.

The battery will go long before the lightning port does IMO.

I doubt the lightning port is the problem considering the phone only stopped worked after it was dropped but worth a try I guess.

It's up to you really. I looked quickly on eBay earlier and used 8gb 5c's go for £50-£80. Seeing as you have already done the screen and ordered a lightning port you could order a battery but I don't know how much it would cost plus you have already spent money on the phone before buying parts.

Thank you guys for helping me but I do have way I can test my phone without buying a new battery because my brother has the same iphone and his is working so I guess I will take the screen off his and unplug the battery and plug it into my phones logic board and see if I get a boot

ok guys i need help i just replaced the screen and the battery on my iphone 5c and i held down the power button and it just was stuck at the apple logo so i connected it my computer and iTunes opened and said there is something wrong with your iPhone so i clicked restore and update, it downloaded the update and started. it first says extracting software, then waiting for iPhone , and then my iPhone restarts to the apple logo and i see a loading circle at the bottom of the screen, but frozen and iTunes is stuck at waiting for iPhone and thats it// it does nothing after that just stays frozen , so i restart the iphone it says iphone could not be restored (4013),what should i do

Try restoring the iPhone using the DFU mode. It will wipe the phone completely and perform a fresh firmware installation. The guide in the link below will tell you how to do it.

oh i did that and it worked but i think i may of done something wrong on the installation of the screen because the phone works when the top half of the screen is not connected to the phone like pushed in all the way, meaning when i put the screen all the way down it will boot the phone up and put it into a bootloop, i dont know what to do like what cable am i pinching to make it bootloop

Open the phone up and just make sure all the ribbon cables are seated properly and the metal shield plates are screwed back into place fully.

Afraid you phone damaged beyond just the screen. If you take it to Apple they will, for a price, replace it with a refurb.

Sounds like this is going beyond the battery if the screen is functioning. Something may Not be connected thoroughly.

I'd think that with all you've done on it, you're investing too much on a device that may have damage you can't see.

You might fix it today but say a month later, your logic board goes out? What if it overheats and starts a fire? It just seems very risky to keep spending money on this device with such tiny components that can fail.
