please help me fix my phone. imei unknown, iccid unknown. wont let me restore!!!!

sorry for the long title, jsut trying to grab attention.

I was looking at wunderground today, checking the weather, when my phone lost signal and was searching. then this message appeared : RESTORE NEEDED iphone cannot make or recieve calls. restore from itunes.

so i connect to the computer, to restore.

this appears:

itunes cannot connect to your phone because a sim card is not inserted or a sim pin is required.





i have a sim card, and its inserted correctly i bought the 3gs two months ago and it has been working perfect since i bought it!



any ideas or suggestions? thanks in advance. Scott

Try to restore in DFU mode.

What error does iTunes give you when you fail to Restore the phone? BTW, have you ever been jailbroken?

I can almost gurantee this will be an error 23. The reason it can't find those numbers and make calls is because the radios have failed. Look in settings and you will see 3G, WiFi and bluetooth are grayed out and can't be changed.

Only hope is to bring it to the Apple store and get a new one.

I went though this three weeks ago. Same exact thing.
