I have a dead Imac G5..going to cost too much to repair but would like to use the screen on my PC...someone does know how this can be done... please help.

Nope.
Forget it, it can't be done unless you dismantle the iMac and fabricate your own monitor.
Sell the iMac on eBay as a broken machine, and buy a $150 - $200 LCD monitor.
