I did a clean install when I installed macOS Sequoia in September. But since then my Photos library in the Photos app has never finished "indexing". This messes up search.

For example, when I select my Favorite album and search for pictures taken in "France" where I live only seven show up in search despite me having thousands.

No matter what I do I cannot find a way to get Photos to finish indexing.

Does anyone have any advice? I'm at a loss...

There seem to be a number of issues with Spotlight indexing. On my Mac, the mediaanalysd process keeps on over and over indexing. Your issue seems a bit different - but have a look (Activity Monitor) at the CPU being used by that process. Make sure you have the "CPU Time" column (not just "% CPU") and see if it accumulating lots of time whilst you are not using the Mac.

If you haven't already, do update to 15.1 - that seems to have partially resolved some issues.

I started this thread https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...1-update.2441371/?post=33536548#post-33536548 which has some discussion wider than just the thread title.
