All I have an 3G Iphone on ATT that was jb on 3.0 then updated with itunes to 3.0.1

first problem...the wifi and bluetooth was grayed out and it continually was searching for a network, so I tried to restore the phone and got an error 23.

Then I tried to reset network and no action there so I reset the whole thing and it took 2 hours and no it is stuck on the apple boot screen.

Can someone please help me get the phone back and running?

I've tried to restore it in DFU and recovery mode....no luck!

My guess

is you are not actually putting it in DFU mode it is abet tricky not trying to insult you but very hard to really mess up a Iphone. & brick is a very over used term.

Error 23 means there is a radio failure. There is no 3G, no Wifi, no edge, no bluetooth, it is in reality a brick. Since it is in this condition, even Apple will not be able to restore it or put it in DFU mode. They will give you a new phone, just make an appointment first. Don't waste anymore time on it.

My iPhone did this a few weeks ago as well and Apple replaced it.

By the way, did you restore your iPhone from a previous backup that was jailbroken? If so, that is the common thing that I have noticed in everyone who had this error 23. Nobody was ever succesful in restoring an error 23.
