Hi everyone. I'm in a heap of trouble here. I jailbroke and unlocked my iPhone in 1.1.3 last week and everything was fine. The only problem was that when I did a hard reset, it would go to the "connect to iTunes screen." I soon figured out that I could just kick it out of that mode with the jailbreak.jar "Boot From Recovery" option. It worked every time.....until now. I installed the Guitar Hero theme for Tap Tap Revolution and then it got stuck after I exited Installer. I got the spinning wheel that shows right after you install something and press the Home button. Then it got stuck, so I had to do a hard reset. I tried "Boot From Recovery" once again, but now it's not working. Boot From Recovery goes all the way through to the "Done!" box, but my iPhone is stuck on the Apple logo with a stuck spinning wheel. I have the Dock app, so I can still see the sunburst at the bottom-right corner of the screen, but when I touch it, nothing happens. I can, however, access the file system with WinSCP.

Can anyone help me boot this phone back to normal? I'm extremely desperate. Please help. Thanks for reading and understanding the situation I'm in. :(

Also, I forgot to mention, my iPhone keeps vibrating for a while during the Apple logo screen after I try to Boot From Recovery. It'll do two buzzes every few seconds for about five minutes or so, then it'll do one buzz and stop. I don't even have my phone in silent mode.

I also forgot to mention that I installed the latest version of BSD Subsystem along with the Guitar Hero theme, before I pressed the Home button to go back to the SpringBoard.

I added http://limitededitioniphone.com/lei.xml to the Sources in Installer so I could get the Guitar Hero theme for Tap Tap Revolution. Then I noticed that there was an update for BSD Subsystems. I think it was 2.0 and I had 1.5 or something. I don't remember.

So here were the steps I did before I got stuck:

1. Added limitededitioniphone to the Sources
2. Installed Guitar Hero theme for TTR
3. Noticed an update for BSD Subsystem and installed it
4. Returned to SpringBoard
5. Watched the spinning wheel, expecting it to update everything
6. Noticed it was stuck after a while
7. Hard Reset my iPhone
8. Tried to kick it out of recovery mode using windows.bat/jailbreak.jar Boot From Recovery.
9. Watched it reboot only to end up on the Apple logo screen again with vibration happening

A-ha! I finally fixed it! I went into the iPhone's file system with WinSCP and deleted the TTR.app folder. It then returned to the normal "Slide to Unlock" screen to which I finally got back to my SpringBoard! Woohoo! :D

Can you help

What exactly do you do, im having the same problem and i can't figure out how to fix it. How do you use WinSCP to delete the files?

I use Fetch for my SSH needs with my iPod touch. Works great, never had a problem with it. I even use it as my main FTP program to run my site. I highly recommend Fetch. And because I'm a college kid, they gave me a free license. Can't get better than free.
