Uggh! this has been very complicated and i have been trying to find a way for this to work all day. i have the application completed. i have the submission site open and it tells me i need a website. now, i have made a website with freewebs, and then i found out, i can only upload movies and photos. Arggh! then i tried uploading it to piratebay torrent site. it tells me that its not a .torrent file. so i search around for a converter, and i finally find one, but it doesnt work! next i tried to upload it to google code thing or whatever. i downloaded their sdk, but when i try to add and existing file, my application is greyed out! uggh please someone give me a website hosting site in which i can upload my application so i can submit it to apple! please!!!! thank you very much!

Also, the "website" it needs is not a place for your application, it's a support website. So, your website.

im trying to find a website that people can make their own websites off of, that allows you to upload applications for people to download. thats basically what i was trying to say.

He registered as a company and now that he has an app and ISN'T a company he has no website. He's asking for free webhosting.

And I say. DUMB. Go get your own website and design it.

no i didnt register as a company. i need a freaking website so i can put my application on it. if your not going to be helpful then gtfo!

I'm afraid you can't upload a app to a website so people can download it, iphone apps are distributed through the apps store only unless you used a jail broken Iphone, there is a bit when you submit a app but that does not ask for a website where the app is located it asks for a support website related to the application

no, if i wanted to put it on the app store, i would have put this under iphone. i am uploading this for mac os x. and application to run on mac os x. and yes, it does ask for a website.

ok bit confused then as you don't actually need to submit an application to apple to distribute it.

You need to make the app into a dmg get a website and upload it, you will probably have to create you own website yourself and pay for hosting

i am trying to distribute it on apple's website, to get it known, okay? but i dont have a website i can make or use to upload it to.

how do you upload it to their site?

i found a website that lets you do it. google.com lets you, u have to make an email address with them, and then u can create a site. you can upload apps to there too.

At the cost of belaboring the point OP, if you clearing defined what you were looking to do, this thread would not have veered off course as it did.

In hindsight, you were not looking to submit an OSX application for approval, like an iPhone app, but rather have it on apple's download site.

Back on topic, I highly recommend you join Apple's Developer Connection. They're setup to do exactly what you're asking - helping you write/debug and then market your OSX application.

You are going to need to zip it before you put it on the web, otherwise it will not work when downloaded.

oh you dont know the secret button on it do you...oh lol just wait till you find out where it is.

Think the original question was answered. OP, next time please include more details on what you're trying to do so others can help you better.
