Please help this smartphone dummy

Hello,

I have an Iphone 5 which was previously jailbroken for me. It has ios 7.0. I pay monthly to have the icloud 50 gb - and I am currently using only because I can no longer save to icloud because I need at least ios 8. I no longer have any internal memory and I would like to clear some of it up. I only have pics and videos saved on my phone - I don't use apps. How can I get these pics off my phone so that I can continue to use it?

Plug into a pc and save them or use a third party app like photobucket to save them then delete them off.

Google photos is also an excellent format for doing as you outlined.
