So.... I just fully downloaded the 1.2GBish iOS9 software, vertifyed and then it automatically of course restarted my iPhone...

On 2/3 of the progress bar, it went black and it wants me to connect the usb cord to iTunes...

I did that and it apparently seems to be upgrading/download iOS 8.4...

Could anybody please help me what happened during the process? (sweating rn)

This happened to my Air 2 as well. I let it download 8.4 and install it. The profile for iOS9 was still on my iPad after that too. Did another software update and it downloaded/installed iOS9 again but this time installed with no problems.

If the phone still works and it is on iOS 8.4, my advise is to hang tight until the final edition is released. I have iOS 9 and today it mostly bricked my phone. I have an appointment with at the Genius Bar and IF they reinstall 8.4, I'm not venturing out into these beta waters again. Just not worth it. I've wasted most of today trying to boot my phone and am keeping my fingers crossed that the Genius Bar fixes it at 5PM.
