please help- upgraded to Catalina, can't access time machine backups

Hi all, I've been backing up my computer on time machine for several years. I recently upgraded to Catalina and now I can not access any of my time machine back ups. Any advice on how I can access old files?

This isn’t even a thing. iCloud and Time Machine have nothing to do with each other.
