I have seeked help with no luck on a few different sites. Before I send it back to the buyer I want to try one last time to see if there is anything that I and others have missed
here is what I got
1.83 ghz CD2 Mini
4 gigs ram
320 gig drive
It currently has a fresh install on 10.5.2 I did with the restore discs. When I first got it all seemed well, I was using my Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse which has a usb dongle. I then hooked up my usb flash drive, nothing. I tried my external hard drive, nothing. My Android, nothing. An iphone 4, nothing. None of the drives show up in Disk utility either.
I thought maybe it was software related so I ran all the updates, same thing. I then tried loading a Snow Leopord dmg to a flash drive and while I could see the drive upon a reset and alt r it wouldn't load. I also tried this with two separate external hard drives. I made these with Carbon Clone Copy on the Mac. I ended up creating a partition for the Snow Leopord image and installed it that way. I ran all updates and same thing, usb devices will not work.
My usb drive that only requires a usb cord will power up when hooked to the Mini but will not show up, only when a reset and alt r is done. Same thing with my other external drives, usb flash drive and a usb disc drive. They show up upon reset alt r then gone after it boots. I also noticed that if the iphone is hooked up to the Mini when power up it will act like the Mini sees it and charge but when it gets past the boot screen back to normal. However my Android phone will charge on the usb ports but will not show up either, but the iphone will not even charge when it has booted.
Any suggestions? The guy I got it from told me to return it and if he can't get it to work he will refund me but I prefer to keep it if I can get it to work
