Hello. I recently set up my older canon printer to my 2020 iMac via usb set up. I did a test print and it worked fine. There are three users on the iMac, myself, my wife and my daughter. My wife tried to print something from her user account and it just keeps saying “searching for printer” and never finds it or prints. So I went it my account to try and it printed fine. Can anyone help me out and let me know if there is a reason why this is happening and if there is a fix? Thanks a lot.

This is what I'd try (NO promises):

Log into your wife's account.
Go to "printers and scanners" pref pane.
DELETE ALL printers that show up for her.
Once they're gone, click the "+" sign to add a printer.
Do any files (to install) show up for the Canon printer now?
If so, install them.

Does the Canon printer have only USB input?
Or... does it have anything else (like ethernet)?

Great. Thank you. I’ll try when I get home. Thanks a lot.
