PLEASE - how to ESCAPE the iOS beta?

I've unenrolled 3 times - followed all of the steps 3 times to get OUT of the beta program. So far, no matter WHAT I do to GET OUT, I keep opening my phone, prompted to install the beta. And now, if I click "Remind Me Later" - the ONLY option that prevents the Beta from installing, Apple now tells me they'll install the beta for me in the middle of the night. And I have to refuse THAT - or did I?

Yes, I'm an idiot. I should have NEVER enrolled in the first place, quite obviously. But Apple won't let me out.

If anyone has been allowed to escape Apple's Beta, PLEASE advise me as to how I can get out of it.

Do I just need to reset my phone entirely from scratch - and, if I go through all of that trouble - can someone PLEASE advise if doing THAT will actually finally remove me from Apple's insistence that I install the beta?

I'm on the 3rd time now of following ALL STEPS to unenroll - yet once again, Apple refuses to release me from the program. I fully accept that I'm an IDIOT for enrolling in the first place, I had NO BUSINESS messing with it.

Just hoping - before I go through all of the trouble to basically restore from scratch - that Apple still doesn't have me "flagged" - because, I swear to God, if I go through all of that and am still forced to fight with my phone MULTIPLE TIMES EVERY DAY to prevent it from prompting me to install the stupid "Beta", I may lose my mind.

Many thanks to the gurus for any advice. And yes, in "restoring" my iPhone to rid myself of the horrible Beta, I've been using a backup I made prior to EVER enrolling in the program. I'm not a tech - but obviously, Apple must have some "cloud flag" set that over-rules everything, disregards all of my attempts to UNENROLL from the Beta... and there that stupid prompt is again, demanding I install the Beta.

That's why I'm hesitant to go through all of the trouble of completely resetting my iPhone, because I think Apple is just disregarding my opt-out - and, no matter what I do, I've accidentally permanently signed up for the Beta program.

Otherwise, I don't know how I've "signed out" of the program 3 times already - and, when I go to sign out YET AGAIN - somehow Apple still has me registered for the stupid program.

And WHY is there no "choice" - given how messed up this is - for me to press a button that reads "Unenroll me - yes, for REAL this time. PLEASE!"

Basically the main thing is to uninstall any beta profiles on your device. And if a beta installation has already been dowloaded (which sounds like the case here) make sure to delete it from your device by going to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage > Manage Storage (for local device Storage), finding the downloaded update there, and deleting it from there.

This problem bothered me throughout the entire iOS 9 experience.
But then, someone on Internet tells us, that if you install tvOS beta profile on your iPhone / iPad, then software update will always report "your software is up to date" regardless of whether new software is available or not. I tried it on my old iPad mini and it worked pretty well. That iPad mini is now at iOS 9.3.3 beta 1.

Generally if it presents a prompt the update has to be downloaded on the device, otherwise the prompt doesn't really make sense. Not sure why you can't seem to find it. Perhaps there's some glitch somewhere. (Also, I believe you can usually dismiss the prompt by just pressing the home or lock button and not deal with it essentially.)

Here's my worry - I go through all the trouble of completely resetting my phone from scratch. That's going to take quite some time. But fine - my punishment for enrolling in the Beta in the first place and trusting post-Jobs Apple to not suck.

But, if my username is "flagged" with "enrolled in Beta" - as it appears to be - then I just go through all of that, the "flag" flies - and I'm right back in the Beta program.

Since un-enrolling and removing the Beta, my contacts no longer sync - and much more annoying, my phone can't send or receive texts with image attachments if it's on a WiFi network. When I switch back to cellular, suddenly I receive all of the messages I'd missed so far.

And, sadly for me, some of my friends use texting to communicate with photos - so they think I'm ignoring them. My solution to that right now is to keep the phone off WiFi.

So whether you are enrolled in the program or not, it comes down to the profile you might or might not have on your device--if you don't have the profile then you won't be getting the updates (assuming one hasn't already been downloaded or installed on it), regardless if you are actually enrolled or not from Apple's side of things.

There's really no altering or anything for something like that--just uninstall it if it's installed and that should be it as far as the profile is concerned.

Are you 100 % sure you have removed the Beta Profile? If you have, the only possibility would seem to be that the iPhone has already d/l the software and it is going to continually ask you to install the software until you do so, b/c it is waiting to be installed.

Unfortunately, your only recourse seems to be to do a clean install of 9.3.3 and don't install the beta profile again(which I'm sure you won't do anyway).

Your can reinstall your previously created backup once you have 9.3.3 reinstalled.
The beta profile needs to be manually installed and won't reinstall from your backup.

I really think this will correct your issue.

C DM is definitely giving some good advice but your situation sounds quite strange. Maybe some screenshots of the settings page (specifically the "Manage Storage" and bottom of "General" settings) could help zero in on the problem. I've been running betas since iOS 6 and the only time I got the prompt to install a beta was when the profile was installed and the beta installation file was already downloaded. That's why it's so strange to me that neither apply to your situation yet you still have the prompt. Just to clarify, your device is running a version of iOS 9, correct?

Thanks, lag - I honestly don't remember how I went about installing the beta. For whatever reason, I expected the basic "phone" functionality wouldn't be disturbed - but I didn't realize how dependent and happy I've been with the integration of my phone and my Mac.

So I truly didn't remember I'd installed any "profile" - and that was the little bugger that was causing my phone to stop working as a phone, at least as far as messaging was concerned Even once the beta was uninstalled, I guess my iPhone just continued "stylin' and profilin'" as a precious Beta.

Now I'm hoping the integration I enjoyed prior to installing that Beta is restored. I haven't had this much trouble with a phone since I broke my iPhone and had to deal with an Android, waiting for the SE to be released.

Are you on iOS 9 still but just don't want to install iOS 10?

Go to settings>general>storage and iCloud usage>manage storage

Find the iOS 10 beta install file and delete it

Go to settings>general>profiles>iOS Beta Software Profile>Delete Profile.

It isn't mentioned on the site. https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/unenroll#ios The assumption seems to be that the backup doesn't contain the profile, step 1 of installation before the profile is "backup" so they must assume it's not there.
