I came across this image from a link in another thread in this forum and I like how clean & simple the font is. Could you please tell me what it's called and if you know of any similar free fonts, so I can have a play around with it?

Thank you.

[ edit: Sorry, the linked fonts were free as in "stolen from Bitstream", not free as in "someone made a free clone" :(]

[ and more edit: The URW Gothic family is an Avant Garde clone that has been made free. It comes with Ghostscript. ]

This time for sure!

Nothing up my sleeve... presto!

This is URW Gothic L, book and demi with oblique. It is an OpenType conversion of the fonts from http://sourceforge.net/projects/gs-fonts/

The license is "GPL with an exception that you can put these fonts in your own non-GPLed documents." so, um, I guess I'll deliver "source" if anyone wants

I don't get it either - fonts are kind of their own source code - but that's what the Ghostscript people chose so I'll go along with it :p
