As the heading states, please post your battery capacity on your Gen 2 Air.

Just received mine on Thursday...

I have the following unfavorable results.

Capacity: 4789 mAh
94% Life
Original Capacity 5090 mAh
Battery loadcycles 11
Age of my Mac 2 Weeks....

Uh, am I correct in assuming that my capacity should be around 5200 mAh and that this is indeed a defective battery?

Please share with me if I am incorrect, as web browsing after a full recycle is about 2.25 hours, without doing anything else.

Thanks.

How are you getting that information? I can't find original capacity in apps like iStat Pro. Lemme know and I'll share my findings since I've got a brand spankin' new MBAir :)

Thanks! Here's my battery stats:

Current Battery Capacity: 4743 mAh
Original Battery Capacity: 5090 mAh
93%
Battery-Loadcycles: 6
Age of your Mac: 2 Weeks

How long does your battery last iPhonePhan?

Have you tested your battery with just surfing, and 50% display brightness to see if you can accomplish the 4-5 hours Apple says. I cannot get more than 2.5.

Am I missing something here?

Here is mine. Interesting that it says my battery is 6 weeks old. I bought my Air on November 4th.

Responses from apple?

As I posted in another thread in this forum I was having terrible battery life as well with specs similar to those stated and a loss of 20% during overnight sleep. I did call apple and like others was referred to their battery savings tips. Unfortunately, no luck. I ended up returning the computer yesterday. Very unfortunate because otherwise I though it one of the best laptops I have owned from apple (screen, design, etc...you all have one, so you know the joys :) )

I have yet to do such since I use my screen at full brightness even on battery power. I've gotten about 2.5h battery life with full brightness and standard web surfing, VPN, full keyboard lights on, and some iChat web video conferencing with folks across the pond ;)

I'm guessing if I try to be power conscious I could make it last alot longer but then again, that would defeat the purpose of my using my portable ;) I care to think that if I need power, I can simple walk over and charge it up again (albeit it would take 8 years to fully charge, j/k ;)

Something's fishy...

My Rev A

Current Battery Capacity: 4862 mAh
Original Battery Capacity: 5090 mAh
95%
Battery-Loadcycles: 66
Age of your Mac: 6 Months

Have you used System Profiler to verify? Could be something to do with the 10.5.5 build on Rev B.

Yeah,

System Profiler verifies the data. I am thinking my battery is crap, and I have news, if this is accurate... they can take this piece of 2500.00 right back.

They didn't build scientifically precise measuring instruments into your MBA?
From the Apple website..."The battery has an internal microprocessor that provides an estimate of the amount of energy in the battery as it charges and discharges. The battery needs to be recalibrated from time to time to keep the onscreen battery time and percent display accurate." Apple routinely releases software tweaks to address battery charging issues. Hope this helps...I also noticed when I got my MBA that Bluetooth was on by default. Make sure you turn it off for better battery life.
Calibrating your MBA battery can be found here...

current battery charge: 4891mAh
maximum battery charge: 4902mAh

current battery capacity: 4902mAh
original battery capacity: 5090mAh

additional info
battery-loadcycles: 128
age of your mac: 8 months

reasonably happy with that.
