Hi there
I'm going to ramp it up to an SSD for my MACPRO;s boot drive.. I need a min of c250 gigs.. can anyone advise?

Really appreciate any help you can give!

Since your Mac has SATA 3Gb/s, my recommendation would be 300GB Intel 320 Series. Reliable and still fast.

I've got the 160GB version in my MBP, and an X25-M G2 160GB in my Mac Pro. The Intel drives are very nice.

I like intel's and samsungs. I own both.. depending on your budget

Intel series 320 600gb = 1.1k IN MY MAC PRO NOW

Intel series 320 300gb = $550 sold it very good

Intel series 320 160Gb = $300 Never owned it

Samsung series 470 256GB = 392 on ebay

Samsung series 470 128Gb = 209 at new egg I own 4 of these.

Samsung series 470 64Gb = 109 at new egg I had 3 of these. I sold this OWC case on ebay with 2 of the 64gb samsungs inside it.

(Note to mods I have sold this item and I am not trying to sell it here it was sold days ago. )

If you have any model mac pro the intels and samsungs are both good. if you have a 2011 iMac or 2011 macbook pro you can consider a 6Gb sata III ssd from OWC like these

One thing about OWC they will fix it or replace it quickly.
OCZ is much slower with replacement of the vertex ssds when they go bad.
I have never had an Intel or samsung fail so I can't say if they replace them quickly.
