Who here uses Plex to watch 24fps bluray rips?

Do you watch them with your display refresh set to 60Hz or 24Hz?

I tried both and I often get jerky video in 60Hz and after I switched to 24Hz the audio was way out of sync and although I was able to use the Plex controls to adjust the audio delay/sync, it never seemed perfect.

It's frustrating as hell.

Anyone else in this boat?

When you run 24Hz... you don't have audio sync issues?

I don't know what my display's frequency is, only that I don't have sync issues with the audio. Are you using SL? There are reports of SL bugging up Plex in some respects.

what do u use to rip 24fps? Also what is the quality loss?

Have a look here. If you don't transcode, then there is no video quality loss; audio gets put into AC3 or DTS (up to 5.1).

So, you run your Mini on Leopard with 1920x1080 @ 24Hz and when you playback MKV's which have 24fps source material, you don't have sound sync issues? Are you sure you are running 24Hz... not 60Hz?

From what I've seen and read, 60Hz had perfect audio sync but occasional video jitter/stutter (which makes sense... 24fps doesn't map to 60Hz naturally).

Anyway, the setup I described above is what I'm running... and based on the Plex Forums, I'm not alone with this problem. I wonder how you are managing perfect playback. Any thoughts?
