I'm happy to announce that I developed a native Mac app using Apple's latest technologies for anyone who likes to organize their media files using a Mac (e.g. a Mac mini, a great media server). You basically just drag & drop your TV or Movie files into it and my app auto-searches them on TMDb for you. Then, with another click, you rename all your files for tidy file names without all the weird characters and format stuff.

See it in action in this GIF:

Note the advantages over other renaming tools like FileBot:
  1. Super-fast app start (FileBot takes ~10s on my M1 Pro)
  2. More accurate movie matching (FileBot fails e.g. when international release year differs from your countries')
  3. More accurate TV episode matching (FileBot fails e.g. when TMDb counts all One Piece seasons as one season)
  4. Remembers your choices for TV shows (FileBot annoyingly asks you again every time)
  5. Free renaming available (just drag & rename one file at a time)
  6. Affordable multi-file support (half the price of FileBot!)
If you have your own Plex/Kodi/Jellyfin/Infuse media server, you might want to give it a try:

I appreciate any feedback, please let me know if you run into any issues!
