I connected my external hard drive, formatted to ntfs.

I want to delete a few things but i can't. The drive seems to be read only.

How do i get around this?

OSX can only read NTFS, not write. There is a plugin that allows you to write to a NTFS drive, but I can't think what it's called, MacFUSE maybe?

Read the following:

FAT32
  • Read/Write FAT32 from both native Windows and native Mac OS X.
  • No individual file larger than 4GB.
NTFS
HFS
  • Read/Write HFS from native Mac OS X
  • To Read/Write HFS from Windows, Install MacDrive
