My receiver has 2 power outlets that turn on and off with the receiver itself, so you can plug in devices and have them turn on/off with the receiver.
I am wondering if anyone has ever plugged their ATV into a receiver outlet like this. That way, when the receiver goes off, the ATV gets no power, essentially turning it off and ceasing the insane heat output.
My worry about this that the ATV will not like having the power shut on/off from the outlet, which is akin to unplugging it from the wall each time to turn it off.
I'd really prefer to have the ATV powerless when not in use. I just don't want to short it out or blow transistor with the powering on and off repeatedly.
