FWIW, just installed a GTX 760 in my Mac Pro. The performance gains are significant over the 5870 I replaced. $244 from TigerDirect. Two 6 pin power connectors, 2 GB video RAM. I know the topic of drivers being there has been covered, but ya know...piece of mind perhaps to those considering an upgrade.

The fan is quite a bit louder than the "official" Apple endorsed 5870, and it seems to run pretty darned hot. Other than that, I'm impressed. No Apple boot screen on my main screen, but my secondary hooked up to a GT-120 shows the Apple logo. No worries once the login screen comes up.

EDIT: I mistyped the card as 670 before. Sorry :)

I also have a GTX 670. Works very well w/o bootscreens. I did a small Overclock on mine using some windows nVidia BIOS tweaker tools under bootcamp. (Do a quick google search for "nVidia bios tweaker")

I've been unable to find a suitable EFI for this card tho. (It's a standard reference card from vendor "Palit Gainwad" - never heard of these guys before this card). The manual had some fantastic Chinese to Indian to English translations in it :).

Congrats on your purchase. Enjoy.

Edit: it's called Kepler BIOS Tweaker.

Oops, I meant 760 :)

Hey thanks for the input! I certainly appreciate. Hey mods, wtf, I help someone out by posting a price listing on the marketplace and get a warning, but this guy gets off? Thanks.

Thanks for the info, I'll check out the utility :)

I've owned a PNY graphics card (not a 760 like yours), and it had a very loud fan. So that might explain the fan noise.
I'm using a couple of Zotacs now and they are completely silent.

I did a bit of "research". Yeah, apparently the fans on these cards a bit noisy. I doesn't bother me much TBH. Thanks :)

Is the card noisy under normal load? Or just doing GPU intensive tasks? Games/CUDA etc?

Thanks.
