hello group.
im geoff and im a macaholic.

at any rate... im potentially going to get a PPC6600 phone/PDA
at a price too good to pass up really even though its a windows
device...

ive come across PocketMac Pro and it seems like it will provide
the necessary syncing tools to get the most use out of my
PDA without having to resort to using windows...

does anyone have any experience with this software? is it
really all its cracked up to be? would The MissingSync be
a better choice? both are around 40$ to purchase and
download...

i plan to use this on my quicksilver running OS 10.3.9

thanks.

I bought it yesterday and have so far been pretty frustrated with it. I only have a few notes to make though (and had little time to try it out completely), but it might help.

First of all, it's not intel compatible (the USB ports apparently - their website). So, I've had to go through bluetooth, which seemed to work alright.

I couldn't install programs on it as promised - apparently it looks for a CAB file in the winexe file, which didn't work for me once.

The theme they offer doesn't go with my Dell Axim, so couldn't use that.

Other than that, the installation was without problems, and it syncs well with my applications.

What, exactly, does this mean?

Means, that my axim is vga whereas I think the apple theme for the ppc was qvga - different resolution. If you try to import themes from other places you're likely to run into the same kinds of problems.

Ah, OK. Mine is only QVGA.

Thanks for the clarification.
