iPhone Podcast App Won't Stop Downloading

The Apple Podcast app on my iPhone SE downloaded 20GB of a podcast, and every time I delete it, it starts downloading again. If I manually pause or stop the download, it resumes within minutes. I set the app limit to "most recent", and it ignores that too. How do I stop this stupidity?
