I've look everywhere but haven't seen this bug mentioned. Ever since I installed iOS 9, when I play serial podcasts (Marketplace All-In-One), every 2-3 episdoes when the new episode starts playing, the playback speed is slowed. Once in awhile it's sped up. I've checked and the playback speed still shows it's playing at 1x. When I hit the pause button, it starts playing back at normal speed (instead of actually pausing).

Not a fatal bug, but it's really annoying (and distracting) especially when I'm driving. I've updated to 9.0.1 and 9.0.2 and the bug is still there. Am I the only one who has experienced this?

Sorry if this is not what you're looking for, but .. I listen to quite some podcasts and the default app just doesn't cut it for me. The things I want out of a podcast player is what Downcast provides, and I haven't had any playback issues with it what so ever. Maybe it helps you as well. I will give it a try, see if I can reproduce what you report in 9.1 b4, and if so, report it with the feedback app from the beta - maybe that helps.

Thanks, I've switched over to Overcast now and it works fine. The only thing that bugs me is that whenever I plug my iPhone into the USB cable in my car, it automatically starts up audio from the last Apple app that I used - either Music or Podcast. But it won't start up a third party app like Overcast. I presume the same would be true of Downcast. Which means I have to stop the audio, find the app I want, open it, and start audio. I know it's not that big a deal, but it'd be nice for the iPhone to just continue playing whatever audio I was last listening to, even if it's a third party app.

Not a lot of help from me either on this. But new Podcast app is a big pile o'...

For me, I get random "sleep mode" not working. "Up Next" disappears on its own from time to time. Trying to re-arrange the list, sometimes a podcast or two disappears off the list.

The "Up Next" "feature" is the thing that gets me ticked off. I loved the old "On The Go" playlist. I could build the next playlist I want to listen to, play that, and if I fall asleep while listening, the playlist is still there for me to pick up where I left off. With "Up Next", and "Resume", could burn through a lot of podcasts and have to re-build what got played in yet another new "Up Next" and hope it does not get messed up in some way. Luckily, I mirror the "Up Next" in iTunes, so, I don't have to try guessing off of what's in the history list above the "Up Next" list.
