I'm on the latest version of iOS/iPad OS on my iPhone and iPad. I have automatic downloads turned off but my iPad still downloads new podcasts while my iPhone does not.

Here are the setting on iPad - am I missing something?

Are you able to go into Podcasts and go to “Shows” and thereafter hold down on it, click “Settings” and turn “Automatically Download” to off.

You have to turn off downloads on each channel individually. Podcasts the app really buggy on iOS these days.

Oh wow, I had no idea I could long press to see additional options. I can’t understand why the settings for disabling automatic downloads in the Settings menu didn’t overwrite this.

Thanks - resolved the issue.
