I used to be able to listen to podcasts while using an app (Provision) to take photos. Podcasts stopped playing while I was using it today. That app doesn’t take videos and doesn’t record audio. I checked the settings for both apps and don’t see anything that will apply. Any suggestion? Sounds like this is how it is. At least for now.

Podcasts no longer play with photo/camera app I use

If I play a podcast and open the standard camera app, the podcast continues until I select Video.
It would seem that this third party app is readying itself for recording. Contact the supplier.

I found that I also can't stream any other audio source while using the camera function through the app. Tried Music, iHeart, XM and Pandora. I submitted feedback today.
The camera app must be opening an audio channel even in photos mode.
