Podcasts Not working: Pocketcasts / Overdrive

I just got a new iphone 6s plus with 64 gigs.

I can't get pocketcasts nor overdrive to work.

Podcasts don't work at all.

Any suggestions?

What do you mean not working, are the apps not working at all or you can't download any podcasts? What about trying different app.

I can download podcasts but they won't play. I click play and they immediately stop

I tried two different apps
Pocketcasts and overdrive

I stopped using apple podcast app years ago because it's terrible

This is a huge problem for me since I have 90 minutes commuting each day
