The good people at Poetic have provided me with their Turtle Skin series case for the iPad Pro 9.7 in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. Poetic has always been my go-to company for quality cases at reasonable prices, and since I'm planning to get an iPad Pro 9.7 in a couple of months, I've been looking forward to seeing what Poetic has to offer, and their Turtle Skin case is no exception. This is the first of their four offerings that they have sent me. The Turtle Skin feels surprisingly sturdy and dense while remaining flexible and form-fitting. Right off the bat, the packaging is a standard, no-frills affair. Very easy to open, etc.
So here are my pros and cons about the Turtle Skin case:
Pros:
1. The silicone material is very well made and should offer great protection and shock absorption. Very kid friendly as well.
2. I love the back of the case, as it resembles a tortoise (turtle) shell.
3. There is an area on the back of the case to hold the Apple Pencil, which is a genius move on Poetic's part.
4. The vents on all four corners of the case are very helpful for air flow, etc.
Cons (and I only have one con):
1. I'm not a big fan of silicone, as silicone as an immediate lint magnet. But I'm pretty sure that the lint will wash off easily.
In conclusion, Poetic has had some hits and misses when it comes to certain products of theirs. And in my opinion, their Turtle Skin case for the iPad Pro 9.7 is a hit. This is a case that will definitely appeal to all iPad fans alike, as it will offer a decent amount of protection and shock absorption from drops, etc., while also being safe for kids to play with. A+, Poetic!!
(P.S. I would provide pics of the case, but I'm having an issue with Flickr at the moment. I'm sorry.)
