Point and Shoot Digital Camera

I'm looking for a cheap digital camera. I'd like to keep it under $300 MAX (for evrything (camera, batteries, mem card) I already have a case.

What is the best point and shoot camera for this price? I'm looking at the Sony DSC W30. What is the difference in comparison to the W50? All the differences I see are cosmetic.

I purchased the nikon coolpix 5200 for times where my SLR would be impractical. I have to say, for a small, relatively inexpensive camera, I am quite satisfied. I am pleased with the controls, interface, and most importantly, the image quality. At first I thought I disliked the bump under the shutter button compared to all the small, rectangular point-and-shoots out there, but I have grown to like it. It pretty comfortable to hold for such a small camera. My only gripe is the 3x zoom. Its felt a little short on a couple of recent ski trips, but overall, its a great snapshot camera.

The coolpix 5200 can be had for pretty cheap these days, probably about $200. Here's a review from digitalcamerainfo.com (which I find to be one of the best review sites.) Feel free to ask any questions.

The Fujifilm F10 and I believe the successor the F11 are the only P&S cameras that I know of that have very good noise levels at high ISOs. Most P&S cameras don't even offer ISO 800 and 1600, this one does. Beware of the introduction of the "High-sensitivity mode" of some new cameras. The images, while having NO noise, are void of sharpness and detail and look horrible.

BTW I might have even seen a Fujifilm F12 any way the F10 sells for $270 or so.

EDIT: it is the F30 I had seen and the F11 isnt available in America

I'll give a vote for the F10/11 (or other cameras based on that SuperCCD)
