So I'm a college student looking to spend the least ammount of money for a good point and shoot camera. I've been looking at the Powershot series as well as others, but I haven't made up my mind. I would like to not spend over 300 dollars, preferably around 200 or 250. Does anyone have any suggestions. I'm looking for something that does well both indoors and outdoors and video would be a plus. Any help would be appreciated.

I like that one but I'm not sure if I want a retractable lens or a slide cover lens. Thank you for your input though. I will be considering it.

Heres one with the SD800, I love that one cause I can just stuff in my pocket, and hit the trails. I've beat the heck out of it, scratched it all up, and still takes great shots.

But then I got the G9, and its still pocketable and shoots RAW. However this shot is just JPG. in Wide mode.

I love Canon P&S cameras.

I still have an old S400 that takes good pictures. Should have sold it long ago, but it still does a great job. We have 2 newer Canon p&s cameras.

I haven't heard much about canon really. Are they cheap?
