1st Anyway to get more FREE TEXT ?

I have a contract with AT&T the above would be very cool.

New to hack, not new to building OSX Hack n Tosh - so wondering with AT&T contract, what the point is, what I can do that makes it worth it. Can someone list the top 10 perhaps? Where to start and is it possible seeing I have a contract that if its bricked, is it possible to restore? Thanks.

Jailbreaking gives you access to more apps. It does not change your carrier (unlocking). Jailbreaking basically gives you access to the root directory and that's it.

it's mostly about removing the restriction apple imposes on what app you can and can't have. there are many cool apps with functions only available to JB'ed phones such as theme customization, running a process in the background, full tethering as mobile modem etc.

I have ATT and I can't imagine going back to a non-JB'ed phone.
and yes you can always restore anytime you want and leave no trace it was JB'ed

I second that! I can't imagine going back to my non JB iphone, it was so boring and I was getting fed up with it after a few hours of getting it because you can't do much on it out of the box.

Once jailbroken there is so much to keep you busy and happy!

I can't imagine not having customizable springboards, a video recorder, tethering, etc. The iPhone just seems so crippled right out of the box.

same here...

yet most people have never heard of jailbreak and are perfectly happy with their phone...ignorance is bliss.:)

I am so sick of these kinds of posts. Do some searching in this forum and you will find about 20 of the same kinds of posts with people asking the same questions and people giving the same answers

Customization, quick gold, video recorder and MMS(sort of I haven't quite got this to work yet) and categories to hide all my apps in folders. It's definitely worth it and there is a great benefit.

Aside From downloading free ****, its the apps that are jailbroken that are amazing, they dont have to be compiled with apples lacking SDK which just makes them that much more amazing.
