Apple seems to have moved Location services from Settings into each app, so Polar Beat has been eating 80% of my battery, all due to IOS 9.1. Basically my 2 month old iPhone6 got 8 hours before it went into the red and thats without calls (almost).

My advice is turn Polar Beats Location off (which renders it useless) or delete it until a fix comes along.

Good luck

Location services is under privacy as well. Sounds like the app needs an update. Waze was a battery eater until the app was patched.

Thanks for telling me that I had a hell of a time finding Location Services. I had a look at it just and I noticed that some apps have a 'While Using' option, thats what the Polar Beat needs but lots of app have 'Always' or 'Never'.

It was the 'Battery' under Settings that alerted me to the issue. So I've turned Polar Beats location to never and I'm waiting for its update. Ive informed Polar too but that probably won't make it to the right place.

Cheers

The app developer is responsible for the option "while using". As you found out, "always" can literally mean "always" draining your battery.

Yes, that's what I meant when I said my contact to Polar probably won't get to the right place. Although it might of helped to make a header saying "FAO DEVELOPER"
