polaroid film inquiry!

friends! i have recently rediscovered this lovely gem stowed away in my parents attic...

but alas, there is no film in it! i am fully aware of how polaroid film is soon to be obsolete - thus, im trying my hardest to acquire some before its too late! i think most can agree, its sad to see such an authentic form of photography disappear.


that being said, i was wondering if i could get some help film-wise! within the actual camera it says this...

"use sx70 film"


so from here, i shot over to amazon for availability and pricing. the cheapest set runs 23.95 USD for a whopping 8 photos.

Honestly I know nothing of polaroids but I believe that 600 film is two stops faster than SX-70 film and so if you used it it would be overexposed. The solution is to use a neutral density filter or get repackaged film which someone makes.

The good news is, a company in Belgium(?) bought up the last remaining stock of Polaroid film (and have also been restoring old Polaroid cameras) so you can buy what you need from them here:

The great news is, they also bought the Polaroid factory in Europe along with several of it's engineers and will be manufacturing new Polaroid film within the next year or so!

I've been buying all sorts of film from them, Peel Apart 100, 600, etc. They ship worldwide and are pretty fast (I'm in Los Angeles; my last order took 2 days!)

Hope that helps... unfortunately, not sure regarding if your camera will also shoot 600 type film or not, but I'm pretty sure not (different size.)
