Poll: Do Airpods Pro fit your ears?

Picking up my Airpods Pro tonight but am concerned due to the number of fit issues I've seen reported. Hoping we can get a clearer picture of how widespread this issue is.

I searched to see if this poll had been posted before but didn't see it. If I missed it, please delete.

Also would be curious to hear how you got along with the original Airpods. Those fit my ears perfectly, so I'm hoping the Pros do the same.

Strange - what would the explanation be for one pair not fitting but having no issues with the next pair? You would assume the buds themselves as well as the tips would be the same size with each pair.

Fit of AirPods 1/2 was so loose, I couldn't walk across a room without them falling out.

Fit of AirPods Pro is so much better, both medium and large work with common movement however medium can begin to feel "loose" and begin to lose its noise seal IF I run with them so I use large which works perfectly.

I know. I cant explain it really. My first set of pods, neither the small, medium or large tips would pass the seal test. Sent them back for exchange. The replacement airpods large tips seal perfectly every time. I am picking up some spare tips at the weekend and will try them to see how well they fit

I was in between the medium and large tips and it took so much messing with each time I put them in that I decided to return them and stick with my old Airpods.

Used 1 gen AirPods for about 2 years but decided not to replace them when 2nd gen were released because they just don’t fit great in my ears. Not uncomfortable but just susceptible to slowly falling out if I was doing anything other than sitting still.

I‘d been using Samsung Buds for casual use and Powerbeats Pro for active use, specifically because silicon/foam tips just provided a much better seal/fit. They’ve both filled a role fairly well (Samsung Buds are quite good except for the mics—people onthe other end of class said I sounded terrible). Needless to say, the AirPod Pros were a day one purchase and I couldn’t be happier. Great fit, surprisingly good ANC and transparency modes, on-stalk controls work great. Highly recommend.

I’m heartbroken but mine are going back. I loved everything about them — except the fit. The regular AirPods have always fitted me perfectly. But the Pros just kept slowly edging their way out. I tried all three sizes of tip, but it was no use: out they eventually came.

You can tell if they seal properly without running the test. i did say in another thread that yiu don’t need to rely on software to know if the seal is working or not

With the old AirPods it always felt like they would fall out. Running with them was impossible.

With the Pro i didn't even try the other tips and it just fits perfectly and they don't move at all. I'm very happy with the fit.

I'm obviously very lucky with the shape of my ears - both the standard and pro AirPods don't fall out. I can even shake my head upside down and both will stay in. I use the medium tips with no issues - they are a lot more comfortable than I expected.

Maybe I'm just not used to in-ear, noise cancelling head phones, but so far I'm experiencing issues that I didn't have with my Gen 1 AirPods. For one, because of the in-ear design along with ANC I am always aware that I have something in my ears. It's almost as if my brain is registering their presence as uncomfortable even though I wouldn't say they are. Also, unlike my experience with the Gen 1 AirPods, I can actually feel the "good seal" come undone with moderate activity while wearing these (i.e. Walking, chewing, etc). When I was using the large ear caps the AirPod Pros would loosen up to the point of falling right out. I switched to the mediums and have had more success, but I can still feel the seal come loose ever so slowly. So I have to ask myself, is it worth the hefty price tag to have to constantly adjust these things. It just wasn't an issue I had with my Gen 1 AirPods. I'm aware experiences vary.

This was my exact experience. I decided it wasn’t worth the stress of constantly having to adjust the AirPods and worry about them falling out.

The original AirPods fit me well. I have run thousands of miles in them without any issues. The Pros also fit me well. I started out with the medium tips, switched to the small tips, and then switched back to the medium tips after running in the small tips. With the small tips, the right one came loose enough at one point for my audio to stop playing. Both the medium and small tips pass the Apple seal test.

The first generation of AirPods stayed in my ears but caused a lot of pain after 10-15 minutes. Airpods Pro are dreamy in terms of fit. No pain for extended wear and I love the ANC!

This was my exact experience. I decided it wasn’t worth the stress of constantly having to adjust the AirPods and worry about them falling out.

Yeah, I really need to weigh my options because I do like the ANC and sound quality, but Gen 1(Gen 2 I imagine) were a more comfortable fit. I guess I'm hoping I will just get used to them. I do remember that initially with my Gen 1 Airpods, the one that sat in my right ear always felt looser than the one in my left ear but I just got used to that. Then wearing them was like, "Nothing to report here. They feel fine after all." I hope hope hope I can get there with the Pros before my return window expires.

Received mine today - All three tips Failed the Tip Test, and none of them felt as good as AP 1/2, which I love! I could not tell the difference between N/C, Transparent and Off - so must have been a bad fit. I just got back from FedEx returning them.

Mine arrived today. The left pod fails the fit test every time and the noise cancelling is clearly not working in that ear.

Really frustrating as I wanted to love them. They just don't feel comfortable to me either though. The original pods need readjusting occasionally to keep them stuck in my ears but at least when they're in, they felt like they fit.
