Does your iPad 2019/18 has dust between the LCD and the digitalizer?

Hi guys!
I bought my iPad 2019 a couple of days ago and I couldn’t be happier with it. Great display, snappy and I’m loving iPadOS so far.
My only concern is that since the display isn’t laminated, will dust specks deposit in between the digitalizer and the LCD?
has anyone had this experience with their non-laminated iPads?
Thanks!

Yes with all the air 1 I tried I gave up. Which is why I won’t go back to one.

Did they have the dust inside out of the box? My 2019 iPad is dust free still. I was just wondering if dust gets inside over time...

Nope, original iPad Air is still kicking up to this point, dust-free :)
Not even a single speck? That’s encouraging

Yep, aside of fingerprints that get wiped every day, nothing wrong with the display. Super satisfied with both the OG Air and the Pro 12.9 2017.
Have you had the screen/battery replaced on any of your iPad airs?

Now that you're mentioning it, I had a second iPad Air with a faulty GPU. The whole iPad was being replaced, was gifted and runs as well up to this day :)

Okay thanks! I knock on wood then.
I love my iPad and I didn’t buy the new iPad Air because i don’t think I need the extra processing power or the extra .3 inches... but given my OCD having dust in under the screen would make my life a bit more difficult...

We've got several iPads with non-laminated display (OG Air, 5th gen, 6th gen, 7th gen). No dust on any of them.

I reckon if the dust isn't either there at manufacturing/out of the box then you're good to go. Mind, we do use SmartCase clones with our iPads so that likely helps reduce debris in contact with the chassis edge.

Thanks for the feedback!

I know it's a bit older than the ones in the poll, but non-laminated nevertheless. My iPad 2 showed a large amount of dust under the screen during the last two years I had it. I was surprised by this because I couldn't find any gaps where the dust could enter in such great numbers.

Did you ever replace the battery/screen?

They all were with it right out of the box
