Lets forget about 2.2 vs 2.4 and whatnot (I know 2.4 probably runs hotter but no use making this complicated)
Leave your MBP to run for about an hour and a half doing regular tasks then report your temperature. Basically I want the highest temperature it would hit, because if you leave it on for several hours it will hit this temp and stay at it indefinitely.
