14.2 has been out for a few weeks now. My 11P seems worse on performance and battery than on 14.1. Feel free to reply with your issues or comments!

The fact that a simple function like getting notified for incoming text messages doesn’t work consistently earns a “Not Good” rating from me. Add in the occasional proximity sensor issue during phone calls that have resulted in me accidentally hanging up on people...

I waited to upgrade my iPhone X which was on good old 12.4.1 until 14.2 was released and I'd have to say it's been really good so far. I'm happy I missed iOS 13 but I'm enjoying all the new features and performance hasn't been effected at all. Even battery performance has been reasonable for a device that's showing 82% capacity. I figure a trip to Apple for a new battery is in order as my phone has had no issues for 3 years and should get me to the iPhone 13 release no problem. My Air2 has been just as good on 14.2 but battery performance has been off since updating from 14.1 so hopefully the next update will straighten that out...

I'm glad they fixed the opening apps quickly from folder bug. But I'm really not happy about headphone notification feature that I can't turn off. A lot of low end bluetooth speakers identify themselves as headphones and it's becoming a real problem. Another problem (also headphone related) is that whenever I plug in headphones the lockscreen now playing widget appears and can't be turned off even if the music app isn't running or even installed.

Okay for me. Some of the bugs that I’ve experienced:

1. Find my iPhone location constantly turning on (pretty sure AirPods related)

2. keyboard lag in messages

3. AirPods Pro connected notification always popping up every time you wake the screen

Battery life is slightly down (iPhone 8) but not bad at all.

I do have a couple of minor issues:

-occasional slight delay when typing but only in Messages

-every few weeks or so Mail curiously opens up to an old previously read email (deleting the message resolves this :p).

That's a design choice (whether good or bad I decline to stipulate). Apple wants to try to advertise Apple Music, so they pop that "recently played" screen. I say it's an advertisement because it badges album art with the Music icon even if the content came from the local library, and if you tap one of the icons, it opens it as an Apple Music track even if it's in the local library.

I, of course, do not give Apple Music access to my local library, so the only place the track could BE, is in the local library.

It never shows content from other applications, such as Overcast.

iOS 13 would show the actual source of the content.
