This was the source of a great deal of angst and debate for me before placing the order. I originally thought I wanted a 17" matte so I could more easily do initial photo review/correction in the field. In the end though, the extreme size of the 17" made me choose the 15" for portability and greater usability on a plane/in my house/at Starbucks. Going to get an ACD for more screen real estate, and use that for critical color work.

Also, FWIW, I got a glossy screen as well. Not what most "pros" would use, but it looks really good, and I can actually see it out in the daylight.

as much as i love the 17", and as much i am about to be yelled at and insulted by those i have argued with before about the merits of the 17", i just placed my order for a 15" 2.33 MBP with the 160GB drive.

turns out i am going to take on a project that will involve more travel than i was planning on, combined with the difficulty in finding a bag and how i am going to use it with an external monitor at home made me finally commit to the 15.

shipping between the 8th and 13th, delivery by the 16th.
