I wasn't either but ended up there because a health issue made me need to be reachable by family living abroad and they were all whatsapp users. With this change in privacy policy, they seem to be more willing to make the switch.I was never on WhatsApp. It’s owned by Zuck so how would anyone think it’s private or secure? 😂
I think it’s an okay app if you understand that you’re having a public conversation. Basically you have to act like you’re at a restaurant with people aroundI wasn't either but ended up there because a health issue made me need to be reachable by family living abroad and they were all whatsapp users. Some discussion of it all atGiven the recent updates to the whatsapp privacy policy, are you moving to signal?
Why not signal?Already moved to Telegram ages ago.
Did you try to send a message? It will then show you who among your contacts is on signal.Installed signal in my phone, but so far nobody else’s on it... 😂
Why not signal?

Thanks. Are you able to share your concerns? The above image comparison is untrue.
I prefer Telegram over Signal as I don’t like who Signal foundation are. I’ve done my research some time ago, and haven’t recently jumped off the WhatsApp band wagon, I jumped when Facebook took over.
This is especially true in Europe. I'd love to switch but getting all my friends, and then their friends and so on and so on to also switch is nigh on impossible. The problem with messaging apps is that what you want to use isnt really a big part of the decision, its all down to what the people you want to message are using. Its all well and good you deciding you dont want to use Whatsapp because of changes but if the people you are wanting to message dont make the change as well its pretty pointless. You just have a new messaging app on your phone and no one to send messages to.
This is my question, why even use these apps when they won't receive an SMS text? Seems like you are guaranteed to be missing texts or getting redundant notifications that someone sent you a message??? Curious what I'm missing? The problem with messaging apps... You just have a new messaging app on your phone...
You get notifications and unread numbers on the icon like the messaging app so you shouldnt miss them unless you arent looking or change these settings to see the various things alerting you to messages. This is my question, why even use these apps when they won't receive an SMS text?
