I'm a bit disappointed because I was hoping for a competitor to Netflix and Blockbuster's online services in that iTunes would offer a $10-$15 per month fee and then I could just get rid of my Blockbuster subscription. How do you feel about it?

I guess it comes down to how many movies you will rent in a month. The more you rent, the better the subscription model becomes. I don't rent very many movies, so with a subscription model, I end up paying for movies I didn't watch.

Obviously the ultimate would be to have both options...

With a catalogue of only 1000 titles, then pay per movie seems more appropriate... with a catalogue of 100,000 titles including foreign-language films and classics, then a subscription would be kinda nice.
