Not all up on windows things, so.........

I got hold of an old copy of Pool of Radiance:Ruins of Myth Drannor.

Installed CD1, installed CD2, all went OK

When I try to run the game I get an error telling me that RTserverdll.dll is missing from my machine.

Any help would be good, thanks.

I did a quick google search, and this is the best answer I could find for your problem.

The other links I've read all point towards the game being nearly impossible to play on anything beyond WinXP. I don't want to say you're completely SOL, but...well...yeah, you might be SOL.

Best of luck to you, man. I heard that game was a buggy, unplayable mess even when it was new.

Thanks for that, I did do some searches but found nothing like that.

SOL ?

All I did was search for the .dll itself to see what it did. Either by luck or tragic happenstance, it turned out most of the links lead right to Pools of Radiance.

Shorthand for poop out of luck. But, you know, with the s-word.

Haha, gotcha :)

Thanks for the file pointer but still no go, it starts to load and then just crashes, nevermind, will move onto something else, seems I am SOL as you say :D
