Hi all.

The photos app on my 2019 MBP running MacOS Sonoma shows error 'Poor Network Connection' with an option to 'Sync Now' to manually override the app not automatically updating. I did not have this issue on MacOS 13 so it could very well be a beta bug, and my network connection has not changed either.

When I click 'Sync Now' I get the following message:

'Syncing with iCloud is paused while this Mac has a poor network connection to save battery. Would you like to resume syncing for four hours?'

Has anyone else seen this and know how to resolve, other than waiting for Apple to fix it?

Many thanks.

M.

They added this b.s. in iOS 17 and it keeps on saying that despite steel-strong 1Gbps connection and spotless WiFi6 in every room.

Yeah, my iPad and iPhone both started doing it after updating to 17 and it's infuriating because it's not true. The tablet is streaming 1080p @ 60FPS just fine.

I guess they are cheap and want less load on their servers. :(

I suspect it’s a bug.
