Anyone can help me on this? I am running the game on the lowest settings and I am already on the lowest resolution, but I am still encountering lagginess. Thanks.

Looks like minimum requirements is an 8600M and a 9600M GT in your MBP is barely better than that. Besides a solid boost in memory, it's not much faster of a GPU, especially if playing in OS X.

It seems like requirements are lower in Windows, so I wouldn't be surprised to see better performance if you use Bootcamp or Parallels.

4 year old laptop don't run 1 year old game well.

Upgrade your computer or play games that are older than your computer.

Are you running the Windows or Mac Version of CS GO?

I don't think there are much tweaks available. Accordingly, CS GO has locked lots of Cvars (and our old DXlevel trick doesn't work here either, CS GO uses DX 9+)

Btw, don't actually play the game. From what I remember the 9600m is powerful enough to play post-item store TF2 (and hence later source games).

Cs go's performance is actually largely based on the CPU. Make sure, if you have a quad core, to enable multicore rendering. Are you playing on Mac or windows?

CS:GO for OSX performance has steadily degraded ever since the Arms Deal update. I'm sorry to say this, but this is just Valve not doing their job. This is not your computer's fault. The game used to run very well, but they've been making some changes in the game engine and wrecked the whole thing in the process.

When's the fix coming? Nobody knows. Maybe never. Valve opted out of making a 3rd Episode of Half-Life 2 and just left everyone with a cliffhanger for 6 years now.
