Hi,
When I'm closing the lid on my MacBook Pro m1 it have a poping sound, It's only when I have it almost full opened or more then full and then closing the sound are coming.

If I'm closing the lid slowly the pop sound don't appear but if I close it a little faster then it appear.
It seem that it sound higher the faster I close the lid.
Is this normal? Or should I just ask is something broken?

The MacBook are brand new.

I made a video where you can hear it.

Somebody else had a popping sound when closing the lid. It seems it was a spring inside that caused it.
I think he changed his.
I suppose it would depend on how much it irks you :)

The spring? What do you mean with that?

I seem to remember there is some kind of spring in the mechanism. Maybe to keep some tension on the lid so it doesn't wobble. Not sure.
It might start to annoy you but I wouldn't have thought it would break.
See what Apple say about it if you're concerned.

Get it replaced or reapired. That noise shouldn't be there and you never know if it might cause the hinge to stop working properly (for example coming loose) one day.
