Pop up and lock up say I have a virus and worm ????

What is this pop up and what should I do if anything? I did a hard shut down and it is gone.

What you saw above was however clearly fake. An attempt of getting you to pay for unnecessary "repairs".

you can tell it is not from Apple by the end of the URL:: .INFO - if it was Apple it would have to end in .apple.com

That is why I did not click on anything. It did have the screen locked where I could not close Chrome.

This bring up a window for force quitting applications, and in cases where it can't bring up the window, force quits the active app immediately.

It's one of those fake tech support landing pages. It's been going around a lot lately. The irony is that I always get the Windows one, regardless of the browser and OS I use.

Consider running a script blocker in your browser. They're capable of blocking this type of annoyance, among other benefits.

Chrome (<- I don't use it) has uBlock Origin.

Fx has NoScript and uBlock Origin.

Safari has uBlock and JSBlocker. (There's also uBlock Origin under development; it's at alpha beta stage.)

Many people consider script blockers to be obtrusive. They are when you're unfamiliar with them. After you take the time to learn them and create the rules that meet your needs, using them becomes second nature.
