It's JavaScript. This type of stuff is hard to get into iWeb because you can't modify the source code until after you publish the files, and then your changes don't save back into it. You'll probably want to stick with the built-in options iWeb has to help with maintainability.
 
Thanks, do you know if iweb can even do image pop-ups?
and I am having browser capability problems where firefox will not register my shadows is there a way to fix that? besides doing a whole overhaul?
 
I do not think iWeb has those sorts of things. You might want to start going away from iWeb if you start to have more and more compatibility issues as I have read in the forums. Try to learn some proper HTML, CSS and JavaScript. In the long run everything takes much less time and you have much more flexibility - although if you do not have time then stick with what iWeb does.

NB **more of a rant on cars** how does that car have such a small amount of power from such a large engine???? dont know how you put up with those pretty abysmal cars
