Popping/clicking sound on MBP 16" during closing the lid

Hello!

I noticed that if lid is open for some time in my MBP 16" then when I try to close the lid or open a litte bit more some popping/clicking sound happen.
What else is what to mention is that each time it happen the lid seems harder to move.

Unfortunately this do not happen every time so I dont have an recording.

Does anyone face similar issue?

Mine does it a little bit as well after it's been in a fixed position for awhile. Most likely a hinge tolerance but I'm not too concerned.

The hinge mechanism relies on a friction system to hold it in place. Sometimes the friction mechanism sticks in place and when you move the lid it breaks free causing a small pop. This is perfectly normal.

It happens to me, it seems the rubber ring sometimes sticks to the aluminum, although I have no idea why.

I'd say, given my experience, it's normal. It won't affect performance.
