hi there, ok let me start by saying im new to mac and routers really so go easy on me.

ok i have a Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G Router. now a friend of mine on pc is hosting a website from his computer. Using IIS as his server software.

now i foud out that mac has Apache is built.

but its the router settings im having a problem with. i've tryed a few things but what ever i do, when ever i send a someone the link - http://192.168.1.100/~billy/ - they just get "page can not display". but when i click on it, it works for me. i just get a page with "TEST" on it that ive done.

so any help would be great.

thanks Billy

The ip address above is your LAN - no-one can get onto that from outside by using that address. You need to find out your IP address that the Linksys uses for the WAN. Go to http://www.whatismyip.com to find this out.
Then you might need to set up your Linksys through the admin utility to make sure that you let others in to your site.
This is ok if your isp has given you a static ip address, but if its dynamic it will change every time you power up your router. There are free web services that will allocate a 'pseudo' fixed ip address, or you could host your web site with a hosting company (but usually at a cost).
