I recently brought my iPadPro's Smart Keyboard Folio out of storage for a family friend. When I replaced my Magic Keyboard with the folio, I was reminded of how great the Folio was in weight, and size. The iPadPro once again felt like an iPad, not a laptop. I may end up keeping the folio and handing over the Magic Keyboard!
I know the keyboard itself is not as nice, but I haven't noticed and reduction in typing speed. Yes, there's no backlighting, but that only matters in certain instances for me. What I do miss is the mouse/trackpad functionality of the keyboard. Personally, I'm a trackpad person and have a Magic trackpad with my Mac. I know I could carry that trackpad around with me, but it starts to move up the weight curve again. I'm considering Logitech's light pebble mouse, but while researching I noticed that trackpads - as a thing - are quite limited in availablity.
So...does anyone have a trackpad recommendation that is lighter than Apple's?
