I'm currently playing Portal 2 on my Mac mini (2 GHZ, i7 server) and a friend suggested we play Co-Op.

Question:

I've watched some YouTube videos where they state a headset is not really needed. Is this true? Also, if I were to get a headset for my mini what would you recommend? This is sort of an HTMAC and my sofa is around 6' ~ 8' away from the mini in my entertainment center.

Thanks,
Tim

To answer your question, I would not play co-op without a headset. Being able to speak to your partner in science is indispensable. It would be quite hard to complete the test chambers without spoken communication, IMO. As per headsets...I just use the bt headset from my phone, it works fine.

FYI, in the future there is a gaming section you can post threads like this in.
